Archived : 28 May 2021, 1:00 AM
Dear Parents, Carers and Guardians,
Unfortunately, given the current circumstances, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel the school trip to Airfield. All payments made to date, will be refunded.
Additionally, the Vaccinations that were planned for tomorrow will not proceed. Please see below update from HSE in relation to plans for your child’s vaccinations:
Students who have NOT been identified as a close contact: The HSE has informed us that they will be in touch with each family direct to arrange appointments at their clinics.
Students who are close contacts and currently isolating: The HSE has informed us that they will either be in touch with each family direct, during the summer, to arrange an
appointment at their clinic, or the students will be invited to attend the Incoming First Years vaccination day in the
new academic year.
I hope you are all keeping safe and well and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries.
Further details will follow tomorrow about our plans for the remainder of this school term.
Many thanks.
Kind regards,
Róisín

Following particular circumstances beyond our control, and on the advice of the HSE, we will remain in online classes tomorrow, Tuesday, May 25th. We anticipate being able to return to the school building on Wednesday 26th May and will confirm this tomorrow. In the meantime, if your child has had a negative test they are free to circulate, subject to HSE guidelines.
We would like to thank you for your patience, support and understanding. If it's any consolation, we can't wait to get back to school on Wednesday either.

Dear Parents, Carers and Guardians,
Teaching and learning will remain ‘online’ for all students until we have confirmation from the HSE that it is safe for us all to return to the school building. We are hopeful that this may be possible next Tuesday, 25th May, but we will confirm this via the school app as soon as close contacts have all tested negative for COVID-19.
Kind regards,
Roisin

Dear Parents, Carers and Guardians,
The HSE are attending Goatstown ETSS, next Tuesday, 18th May, to give the second round of vaccinations to our students.
Attached is a checklist of things that you will need to ensure on the day of the vaccinations. Also detailed are the steps that Goatstown ETSS and the HSE are taking to ensure the vaccines are given in a safe manner and in line with COVID19 safety regulations.
Please note: Your consent provided for the first round of vaccines will carry forward to this round, so you have nothing further to do from that perspective.
If you have any queries, or need any further information, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Many thanks.
Kind regards,
Roisin

Additional contact phone number

Dear Parents, Guardians and carers, we have noticed that only having one land line has caused some issues for dropping off or collecting students at non standard times. We know that you are frustrated with the red door being locked, this is however is essential for child protection in the primary school and for COVID prevention protocols
To counter this we now have a second mobile phone number that Matthew will monitor throughout the day. This phone line will also be the school trips and tours phone if you need to contact anybody urgently during a school trip.
You should only use this phone number if you cannot get through to the main office landline . The day to day purpose of this phone is to contact Matthew to let him know that you are trying to collect your child early, drop off your child at a non standard time late in the day, but only in the event that you cannot reach anybody on the Goatstown landline. Main office hours are from 8am to 1:30pm.
The number is 0873382664, Please store this on your phone in the event that you cannot contact the main office.
