Cognitive Ability Assessment for First Years

Dear First Year parents, guardians, carers, As part of our school assessment programme and to ascertain the learning needs of your child, we will carry out the CAT IV assessments for First Years on Tuesday, 14th September. Your child does not need to study for this assessment as it measures general cognitive ability. Staff will be on hand to assist in the administering of the test in any way they can. Your child should ensure that they have their iPad with them on the day (fully charged), as the assessment will be carried out digitally. They should also ensure they have a set of earphones. The test will not take up the whole day. Your child’s tutor will inform them of the schedule for the day. Kind regards Clodagh Keher

Please tell your child/ children how awesome they have been at school this week. They have also been incredibly patient with us while their outdoor area and prefabs are being finished. Sharing with two primary schools isn't easy but the students have modelled the kind of behaviour that makes everything possible.

Medical Form

It is important that we have a medical report for each child I note some parents have not yet completed this form through the school app. Can you please give this your immediate attention - Nil Returns are also required. If you are unsure whether you have completed the medical form or not: Click on 'Attention Please' at the bottom right hand corner of the screen and if it is outstanding, it will ask you to complete the medical form. If you need to update information on the medical form: Click on 'Student' on the Left Hand Side of Screen (Main Menu) Scroll down to 'Medical Info' and click on 'UPDATE' and input the new information.
