Second Year Check-in Report
Created : 25 Jan 2022, 4:44 PM
Archived : 14 Feb 2022, 12:00 AM
One of the main reasons for Junior Cycle reform was to maintain student interest and motivation across Second Year.
We are mindful that the parents of Second Years (and to an extent Fifth Years) do not have any formal assessment between December and May. We are trialling a check-in report which allows teachers to communicate any concerns that they have around a range of issues. I have attached an outline of what we will be reporting on.
This report will be published on Monday, February 14th.

Students are invited to participate in a Model United Nations event . Details about the conference can be found here: www.munwicklow.eu/
Representing Spain, our students will meet young people from 15 other schools representing countries all over the world. There is excellent training available in advance. Students need to express their interest to us by adding their names to the chat in the 'Goatstown ETSS' school team in Teams. Students will need to have a short interview with Anna and Jonathan to determine the final list of students who will represent Spain at this exciting event.
