Following on from our meeting last week, your daughter has been given an envelope today to be brought home.

Due to important staff CPD, classes will end at 3:10pm on Thursday 28th September.

Students are free to go at that point or are welcome to stay in Rosary Hall until 3:40pm where they will be supervised.

If students wish to stay until the bell, they should go immediately to the hall.

School is open on Friday as usual.

5th Year Parents Information Meeting

As your daughter is now beginning her Leaving Cert preparation, we will host a meeting for the parents of 5th Year students on Thursday 28th September at 7.00pm. 

The purpose of this meeting will be to outline how parents can best assist their daughters to achieve their full potential in 5th Year and at Leaving Cert.

This meeting will take place in Rosary Hall.

Details and Zoom link will be sent to all email addresses that you provided to us, at 4pm today, from info@taylorshill.ie

In order to assist the girls’ transition into post-primary school, there will be a meeting for 1st Year parents on Tuesday 19th September at 7:00pm.

Representatives from Planet Youth Galway will also present at this meeting. Planet Youth is a new initiative, based on best international practice, to support teenagers; address the risk factors; and strengthen the protective factors.

It is important that at least one parent of each student attends this meeting.

The HSE Talking Health and Wellbeing Podcast is about Healthy Lunchboxes for Kids

With school routines starting again and parents getting to grips with what to put into those lunchboxes and what to avoid.

Marian McBride, Dietetic Lead, HSE Health & Wellbeing discusses the importance of a balanced diet to ensure children develop a healthy relationship with food. 

With tips on how to introduce healthier foods into children’s daily diets. Marian gives ideas on what to include, recognising that parents are busy, she explains that it’s about frequency and taking those different opportunities to introduce healthier options.

Junior Cycle exam results due on 18 October 2023

Today, the Department of Education announced that the Junior Cycle results will be released on Wednesday 18th October.

 

It is good news for our girls to finally have a date look forward to where they will be rewarded for their hard work. 

 

When we are informed of arrangements, we will share them in school and on the App.
