Congratulations to 3rd Year students Aaliyah Clohessy and Eva McGahon (along with their teacher Ms. King!) who won the award for Best Technology/Maths project at the Galway Science & Technology Festival in NUIG today.
The girls were invited to take part in the exhibition to demonstrate the app they developed to help reduce the distraction of mobile phones while studying.

Well done to all our 1st Year students, ably led by Ms. Kerrigan and assisted by some 5th Year singers, who were carol singing yesterday (Friday 14th December) in the Eyre Square Shopping Centre and collecting donations for the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Taylor's Students Selected for the Gaynor Cup Squads

Congratulations to the Taylors girls who have been selected for the U14 & U16 Galway Gaynor Cup soccer squads.
Saoirse Burke, Aoibhin McDonnell, Eve Dossan and Ivana Lally were selected for the U14 squad while 3rd Year student Alanna McNeill was selected for the U16 squad.
The tournament will take place in the University of Limerick in June.

Swimming Team Wins Silver in Connacht Schools' Gala

Well done to all 9 girls who represented Dominican College in the Connacht Schools' Swimming Gala.
Aimee Kelly, Naoise O'Donnell, Rebekah Liptrot, Oliwia Roclawska, Teodora Cugalj, Sophie Sultanov, Bernadette Kenny, Anna Murphy and Sarah Harnett proudly represented the school in the competition with super individual swims and very exciting relay races.
Aimee won two silver medals in her individual swims and will go on to represent the school and Connacht in the Schools' Interpros next year.
The girls' relay team won silver medals in the 200m freestyle and the 200m medley relays which ensures them a place in the 2019 Irish Schools Relay Finals.

The house that collects the most will get 50 extra tokens!
Coins can be put into the containers in the foyer.
TY Fundraising for the Hope Foundation

Well done to our TY students who raised €252.30 for the Hope Foundation. The girls undertook this work as part of their Young Social Innovators project and sold chocolate bars to raise the money.
Three of the girls, Aifric Murphy, Zoe Or and Emma Rossborough, along with their teacher, Ms. Kennedy, presented the cheque to Maura Lennon of the Hope Foundation.

The Parents' Council have organised a Christmas raffle.

Galway Futsal Champions

Congratulations to the 1st Year Futsal team who won the Galway Futsal tournament today in NUIG.
The team will go on to represent Galway in the Connacht finals in Sligo next month.
