This was the last pool game of the U16 C League, a win for Raphaels would guarantee them a spot in the All Ireland playoffs, However a strong Colaiste na Coirbe team stood in their way, who had already qualified for West Final, and who had also progressed to the All Ireland Cup Semi Final in January. St Raphael's got off to a great start, and they were quick off the bat to get their name on the scoresheet. However Colaiste Na Coirbe responded well in the second quarter with a string of scores. Some good scores from Adam Cunny meant Raphael's trailed 22-17 at the half. St. Raphaels closed the gap in the 3rd quarter with some good shooting from Robert Connaire, and a good team effort in fast break layups. Raphael's put their bodys on the line. As the 3rd quarter closed Colaiste Na Coirbe were ahead by a single point. Cathal Bryan shot well in the final quarter, but it just wasn't enough in the end. Colaiste na Coirbe pulled away in the last few minutes of the final quarter to come out deserved winners on a final scoreline of 50-39.
