Congratulations to Charles Agha who performed two of his own pieces in a the Dunamaise Theatre on Friday night last ,a name to watch out for in the future! Jarlath Taylor participated in a 5 day exchange program in Downpatrick with 23 other young people from Northern Ireland and Scotland discussing the topic of Brexit, Borders and Immigration. He represented Portlaoise, along with 9 other young people from the area and did an exceptional job. Jarlath, is seen here in the photo presenting his speech in the Parliament Buildings within Stormont during a debate within the Assembly Chamber.

School will be closed for students next Thursday, November 15th all day. This is to allow the entire Staff to undertake the Wellbeing In-Service which all schools must do during this school year. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you.

A reminder to all parents of 1st years that the PTM is Monday, 12th November from 4.15 - 6.45. It is a very important meeting for all parents to attend. Tea and coffee are available for all throughout the afternoon.
