MOCK EXAM RULES Students are expected to wear full school uniform for all examinations Students who do not have an exam in the morning are permitted to remain at home to study, and return to school during the lunch break ( between 12.35 and 1.15). Students do not need to sign in at the main office on such occasions, as a roll will be taken during the afternoon exam. Students who only have a morning exam must be present in the exam centre from 9.00 am. Late arrivals will not be permitted into the exam centre. If you leave after a morning exam, you must sign out in the GPA, showing your Parental Permission Slip, fully completed and signed by a parent, which should be stuck in the back of the school journal. Without this Permission Slip, students will not be permitted to leave the school. Junior Certificate students will be allocated a specific place in which to sit for all their exams in that centre. Each student must have his own material for his exams, for example, calculator, rulers, eraser, pens, pencils, T-squares, log tables etc. Sharing materials will not be permitted. Answer books must be used for all examinations. It is each student’s responsibility to ensure that he knows what exam takes place on each day. Not only will your son(s) be given a copy of the timetable, but you can also access it on the School App and School Website. In addition, it will also be posted on various noticeboards around the school. Students are not permitted to communicate in any way with another student during an exam. If a student attempts to communicate with someone else , his test will be cancelled, and a comment to that effect will appear on his Mock Exam Report. Schoolbags and mobile phones are not permitted in the exam centres. Bags must be left on the baggage racks and valuables should be securely locked inside lockers. Students are only allowed to bring water into the exam centre, where the bottle must be left at all times on the floor beside their desks. For the smooth running of the examinations we ask for parent’s co-operation by ensuring your son arrives on time for all exams and adheres to these rules.
