Congratulations to our fantastic Transition Year Students on representing our school so well yesterday at @studententerpriseprogramme Laois.
We had some amazing achievements on the day with @tonys_timber_ty picking up the marketing award!
@scentsational_est2022 in 3rd place in the overall competition

@budget_bro_app in 2nd place in the overall competition.
We are so proud of you guys and all your achievements.

Dear Parents/Guardians
We have now completed subject choice taster sessions, subject choice assemblies and our Parents information night.
Students received the subject choice forms on Friday from Ms. Murphy (Principal).
Please find below a link to the schools subject choice booklet which contains further information on subjects on offer for senior cycle in our school.
For those students that did not receive a subject choice form, please collect one from the office. This form must be returned by the 31st of March.

We are excited to announce the formation of our new student digital learning team, CBS Digital Leaders. If you're passionate about technology, this is the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your skills and join a team of like-minded students.
We're looking for students from TY, 5th year or 6thyear who are interested in supporting students & teachers in the use of digital technologies, developing their own IT skills, trialling new apps & software, creating tutorial videos, and much more.
This is a great chance to gain practical experience that will be valuable in your future studies and career.

Soon it will be time for you to do your first CBA for History class. At the moment your teacher is asking you to think about a topic that is local to you (where you are from or about somebody with a connection to your family).
One of the biggest challenges you will face is finding sources for your CBA.
Sinéad Holland from Laois County Library will speak to you about the types of sources they can help you with, and how to go about doing your research.

Go to your normal class and the teacher will take the roll and bring you to the Demo Room at the arranged time.
TY Film Students reach Leinster Finals of Fresh Film Festival

Congratulations to our TY Film students on reaching the Leinster Finals of the Fresh Film Festival with their short films ‘Shell Shock’, ‘A Friend’, ‘Ireland and the EU’ and ‘Youth Homelessness’. The students were invited to attend a screening in the Odeon Dublin last Wednesday and had a great day mixing with some of the biggest names in the Irish film industry.
