Greetings for the Feast Day of Blessed Edmund Rice which occurs today.
The charism of Blessed Edmund, who founded the Presentation Brothers Congregation, remains at the very heart of all that we do in our school and his story is both an inspiration and a challenge to all of us who are privileged to be associated with this wonderful tradition.
The video (available at youtu.be/lD_5TOhibEo) will give you a good insight into the story of Blessed Edmund, the founder of our school. The Presentation Brothers' LEAF project and PBST have collaborated with our fellow PBST school, Colaiste Muire, Cobh, to put this video together.
Wishing you all a joyous Blessed Edmund feast day.
Thank you.

What makes rockets fly straight? What makes rockets fly far? Why use water to make the rocket fly? These are some of the questions TY students in Mr. Garvey’s Physics class came together to answer over the last number of weeks culminating in a ‘Rocket Launching’ field day competition on Tuesday 5th May. The colourful and varied designs were launched using a device which builds air pressure in the bottle using a foot pump and then the stored-up energy is released when a holding latch is released – propelling the rocket into the air and launching the careers of tomorrows engineers. Well done to all involved!!!!

Dear Parent,
Some detail on our Sports Day on Friday.
Arrive at Wilton in sports gear for 8.35am with first event starting at 9am.
Compulsory school day. No student is permitted to leave until the Sports Day is over.
List of events and timetable can be found in attachment below.
Do not bring any valuables, unless you absolutely have to. Anything you do need to bring, including medication, can be handed in to the teachers supervising the "tent"!!
The last activity will finish at 2pm and will be followed by the college 100m and the Teacher v Student Soccer Game. This game is always subdued, boring and attracts no spectators(!!!) Parents can collect the boys at about 2.45pm, after the teachers have yet again beaten the 6th Years!!!
The "pop-up" Canteen will be available on site with drinks, treats and rolls/wraps/paninis and a selection of pastas. Unfortunately no hot food will be available on the day, due to limited cooking facilities. The food does not need to be pre-ordered on Friday, and the boys can pay in cash, like in the "olden" days!!
We hope the weather will be kind and we are looking forward to our first Sports Day in three years!!
Thank you.
