Exploring mindfulness and meditation for autistic students

Suitable for Parents , SNAs, Primary and Post Primary Teachers 

This session will explore regulation, movement breaks, mindfulness and meditation practices that can be applied in the classroom/home setting. The session takes us through establishing the energy in the room, easy regulating movements, breath work and key pointers toward holistic health and well-being from a whole class inclusive  perspective.

Please note, due to the construction work ongoing in the stadium, there is limited supporter bus parking and no car parking in the grounds. Please respect our neighbours and refrain from parking in residential areas as cars will be clamped or towed if causing any obstruction. Supporters can avail of parking in Back Ash Park and Ride less than a 5-minute walk from the Stadium.

In an exciting development for film lovers and budding filmmakers alike, we’re thrilled to announce the completion of Finding Cillian and Caught Purple Handed, two highly anticipated films directed by the talented Michael Scott, Adam Wiezorek and Michael Dunphy. These films mark a new chapter in the evolution of student films in PBC, blending intricate storytelling with stunning visual aesthetics. Paying homage to our very own Cillian Murphy.

McCarthy Cup Champions

What a fantastic day of rugby 6 wins from 8 matches. The day started with a clean sweep from all 4 of first year teams against CBC. our McCarthy Cup B were just pipped at the bell putting in a brilliant performance especially in the second half. Our McCarthy Cup A team beat CBC in an unbelievable display in Musgrave park. Our BOWEN boys were just pipped again putting in a huge performance in the second half. The junior team capped a great day of Rugby by topping their group with a win over Bandon grammar. Big thank you and congratulations to all players coaches, teachers and supporters. Dear Parent The McCarthy Cup Finals take place tomorrow in Virgin Media Park. All 2nd years will be allowed wear the School tracksuit tomorrow. There are 84 boys attending tomorrow between playing and supporting. The bus will leave School at small break tomorrow 10.35. The boys may bring their bags with them. We advise them to wear warm clothing and bring a packed lunch and drinks with them. There will be class for the 24 boys remaining. McCarthy Cup Finals Day- Squad going for the Double!

Tomorrow marks a huge milestone for our McCarthy cup team as they compete for the double in Virgin Media Park! After months of dedication, skill and countless hours of training in Wilton, the lads have earned their spot in not one, but two finals. Your support could make all the difference as we face two formidable opponents with strong supporter turnouts 

  • B Final Vs Kinsale at 12:30pm
  • A final vs Christians at 1:30 pm
This is a remarkable achievement and we couldn’t be prouder of the teams effort and resilience. Let’s show up in force to cheer them on!

Traffic & Travel Notice

  • No parking at Virgin Media Park: Only team busses and limited school personnel will be allowed park onsite
  • Respect local residents: Avoid parking in residential areas to prevent clamping or towing
  • Alternative Parking: Use Black Ash Park and ride,just a 5 min walk from the stadium

Irish Examiner Columnist and family psychotherapist Dr. Richard Hogan is here to talk to Andrew and Conor about child psychology, how to deal with mental health in the teenage years, the impact gaming and phones have on young minds and how students might approach school and exams.

Teacher Frank Keane spoke to Sam Hernan and Louis Dineen and discussed his incredible rowing journey from dipping the oars as a boy in the Shannon in Athlone to training Pres students at junior level to coaching medal winning Irish rowers at the Worlds and onward to the Tokyo and Paris Olympics.

Pres alumnus and medical student Ben Wrixon who scored the highest HPAT in the country returns to the school to discuss empathy, how to pass the HPAT as well as his passion for medicine and just what fostered it . 

In between a jam packed show we have an exclusive song from 5th Year singer/songwriter Michael Scott with a gorgeous rendition of ‘ All of Me.’
