Successful entrepreneur Richard Branson talks to Richard Curran on RTE Radio 1 Business Show about his struggles early in life, particularly in school due to undiagnosed dyslexia, which interestingly he now credits for his success. He has recently founded DyslexiaU, the first University of Dyslexia which welcomes both students with dyslexia or without. He speaks very positively about the wide range of attributes of people with dyslexia - creativity; lateral thinking, problem solving skills which he believes lead to the makings of successful entrepreneurs and innovators.  Dear 2nd Year Parents,

We are reaching a crucial moment in the season, as our boys have TWO HUGE GAMES as we take on St. Munchins in tomorrow's semi-finals in Wilton at 2pm. The hard work, dedication, and effort the team has put into training and preparing for this moment has been incredible, and now they need the full support of their families to help drive them across the line.

This is a huge opportunity for our young athletes, and your presence at the match will mean the world to them. Let's show our lads how proud we are of their efforts and cheer them on to victory. Tea & Coffee will be available for parents from the clubhouse.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible there tomorrow!

A Chairde,

Tomorrow we will have our first outing of the new year for our fourth year group. We will walk through the park in Gougane Barra. The weather forecast looks good, however it will be cool. Spare clothes should be brought on the bus tomorrow along with a packed lunch and plenty of water. There is no shop or Cafe open in Gougane at this time of year. We will try and stop on the way back to school if time alllows, in Lissarda.

Bring good runners or boots for walking, underfoot will be damp to wet in patches. A small backpack for lunch and plenty water. The walk will take approx 2.5 hours it is mainly easy with a small climb included. Warm clothes are essential. Please keep bags small and easy to carry, spare clothes can be left on the bus.

Attendance as per all 4th outings is compulsory. We will leave at 08.35, after roll call in the canteen and we will be back at 3.15. We look forward to seeing you all. If unable to attend due to illness the school MUST be informed in the normal way.

Dear Parent,

Apologies a chairde, payment will be available on line, there is no need to get a cheque book, entirely my fault, I simply did not get a chance to put it up on the easy payments system yet. I will send notification to confirm it is up, on line. Simply return the form and stipulate that you will be paying online. There is no problem, I did say this to the boys when I went to the classes with the hard copy form.

Brian McMahon.
