Dear Parent,
Researchers in Mary Immaculate College are seeking parents to take part in a short online 5-10 minute anonymous survey (visit www.tinyurl.com/ParentMH or see attached poster for more information).
In partnership with parents, HSE, Tusla and Clarecare, the survey examines the experiences of parents living with mental health challenges (formally diagnosed or not), to find out more about the supports and barriers that are in place in terms of seeking help.
They would like to hear from mothers, fathers and guardians who are parenting while experiencing a mental health challenge (or who have previously experienced a mental health challenge), who are living anywhere in Ireland and over the age of 18.
The study has been approved by the Mary Immaculate College ethics committee and the Tusla ethics committee. No parent is obliged to take part.
Please note, the school has no further information on this, so if you have any queries, please contact the organisers directly.
Thank you for your time.

Dear Parent / Guardian,
We are sending you this as we believe it is very important and relevant to all our students.
This has to do with Andrew Tate and other ‘influencers’ who are having a significant negative influence on some young people. ‘The controversial British-American influencer Andrew Tate is facing trial in Romania. He has been charged with rape, human trafficking and forming an organised crime group to sexually exploit women’ according to BBC News.
Two journalists went undercover for 4 years into Andrew Tate's world and have just published a book (Clown World: Four Years Inside Andrew Tate's Manosphere) detailing the life of Andrew Tate and his far-reaching influence amongst young men. Oliver Callan interviewed one of the journalists recently and we think it is worth listening to.

Colman Noctor is a child and adolescent psychotherapist with St Patrick’s Mental Health Services. He specialises in the treatment of emotional disorders. As a self-confessed technology addict himself, he has a keen interest in the effects of contemporary media on child development and mental health. He wrote last year on why young Irish boys are being influenced by Andrew Tate. We think his article might be helpful for parents.
Here is the article from the Irish Examiner.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
As regard the matches in Wilton tomorrow v St.Munchins the opposition can only send two teams. Therefore we are only asking those boys involved in squads A and C1 to play tomorrow (those squads are on Microsoft teams) There will be training as usual for all the boys on Thursday after school.

Dear parent/ guardian,
The following information below has been relayed to the students on Teams regarding the Barcelona trip. The students who were accepted were added to a Teams group entitled Barcelona 25 so they need to keep an eye on that for updates. The first of which contains the payment info etc.
For those who did not receive a place, my apologies. Unfortunately we cannot facilitate everyone and can only do our best on that. There were 88 students looking to go, and only 48 places. These were allocated on a random basis to ensure fairness.
Note that only the students that are on my list- and in that Teams group- will have their places secured when payment arrives. The company will disregard payments made outside of this list.
If spaces open up, I will randomise selections once again to fill those.
Thank your for your help and understanding on this!
Shane Twomey
