Yesterday we celebrated the cultural diversity present in our school. Our GPA came to life as we celebrated our students cultures far and wide. Our home Ec teacher Ms Murphy with the assistance of our Meitheal leaders treated students to a taste of different cuisines from around the world.
Our first years watched a short film on cultural diversity which our TY’s made and also listened to a number of guest speakers.
A big well done to all students involved in this event. Finally thank you to Mr Brennan for orgainising such a successful event.

In conjunction with engineers week Wonderstruck, a company which is all about inspiring wonder in the world around us, ran a workshop for our 1st,2nd&3rd year students. The lads built paper rockets along with electric and air cars. This hands on workshop gave the boys an opportunity to explore the world of science and perhaps consider a future in Engineering.
Cillian O’Callaghan & Francis Ladipo were winners of the car racing event.
Thank you to Mr Ryan for organising these workshops.

Our first year music students had their 1st of 3 sessions with musical artist James O’Connor this morning, who shared his experience of many years as a recording and performing musician. James introduced our students to the various steps involved in creating a composition, and explored many themes for which our student will compose, perform and record their own group composition over the coming weeks. Many thanks to James for an enjoyable 2 hours of creativity and composition...it was thoroughly enjoyed by all our students.
