The TY’s received a talk from Caitriona from the JPll awards Programme today. The JPll awards are aimed at TY students to become more involved in parish life. It was great to see so many of the lads interested in applying for the gold award. The completion time for this award is 16 months beginning in September. You earn your Award by taking part in activities through Parish Involvement and Social Awareness, and preparation of your personal reflection. On completion of the hours and your personal reflection, you should return your Record Card and personal reflection to the Award leader. These are ratified by the school principal and forwarded to the Pope John Paul II Award Committee. As we stressed to the lads many of the activities that they are involved in in TY will over lap with the JPll award. Registration is €10 and is to be paid to Ms C. Brennan before Thursday the 24th of October. Further information can be found on the website below: thepopejohnpauliiaward.com/the-gold-award/ If you wish to take part and did not receive a registration form and record card today please call to Ms Brennan after 11:15am tomorrow. A word of thanks to William Oxley and Thomás Dunne for sharing their experience with the TYs today.
