TY Forensics Workshop

Our TY students engaged their critical thinking and analytical skills in the TY Forensics Fun Workshop. They engaged with the historical case of the JFK assassination and came to their own conclusions by looking at ballistics and gun shot residue, photographic analysis and fingerprints.

TY Activities for the week ahead.

 

Monday 11th      –  

 

 

Tuesday 12th     –  Work Experience

Work experience all day. 

 

 

Wednesday 13th    –   Introduction to Barista Workshop

TYD will be mixed into each workshop as we only have 3 sessions. I will speak with TYD Wednesday morning on this.

The workshops will take place in the demo room and supervision is required.

 

Thursday14th   – European Trip Assembly

We will have an assembly at 10.15 am in the GPA on Thursday. Students can get their roll taken and make their way down then. (15-20mins)

Team Announcement - U16 South Leinster Final

With just four days to go to our South Leinster Final, the starting 15 and panel list of our U16 Football team has been released.
 The team face Col Bhride, Carnew in the South Leinster final this Monday, March 11th at 12pm in Eire óg pitch, Carlow.

1st Year Rugby Report - Reminder Training Tomorrow (Friday) After School

1st Year Rugby had their second league match this week against Salesians CC.
The lads got off to a good start with new players in new positions and tasked with new jobs. The first try came from good through the hands play and a good display of team work. The lads kept this going right through the half, leaving it 10-10 at half time. 
The lads were eager to pull though with a win and forced the ball up the field with the final few seconds on the clock. Good scrum play saw the lads gain possession on the 5meter line and Jack Reilly got in for a try. Dylan Clear kicked home for a 17-10 win. Well done lads! 

SCORERS: Joe Kelly, Rory Hand, Jack Reilly; 1 try each. Dylan Clear 1 con.

Men of the match: Warren O’Shea and Jack Reilly for a hard working display in new positions.
