Please find attached the premock timetable for 3rd years beginning Friday the 18th and finishing Friday the 25th.
Students are encouraged to have the correct material for each exam each day.

Meditation Room Open For 6th Years

With the premocks approaching, the meditation room will be open for sixth years who  are looking for a quiet space to chill, reflect or simply get some head space. This is an initiative of the mental health group in school, "Headstrong" and will be facilitated by the senior Treoiri team. 
CBS Code Club

There will be a short meeting for any 1st year students who are interested in joining the CBS Code Club tomorrow (Wednesday) at 1:15pm in RG57 (Mr.Dunne’s room). If you are interested and cannot attend, please contact Mr.Dunne on Teams. Spaces are limited!!
Pre-Order your Food in the Canteen from Wednesday

Students can pre-order their food from this evening using the school app. 

1) Students must collect a swipe card from the canteen and assign it to their phone. 

2) Students can add a card and top-up their wallet on their phone - (there is an initial €5 admin charge)

3) Students can then pre-order their food through their phone for the selected day.

***Please make sure you select the correct day for your order***

Parents' Council Meeting Tonight - Tuesday 15/11

The next meeting of our Parents’ Council takes place tonight, November 15th, at 7pm. All parents are welcome.
Sending in a Late Note or Permission to Leave Early Note

Since September we have asked parents/guardians to use the school app to send in their Late notes and Permission to Leave Early notes. It was a new functionality of the App and we gave it a try up to Midterm. However, we found it to be less efficient for us than our original system of writing a note in the Journal for both Late Explained and Permission to Leave School Early occasions. 

From now on, please write a note in your son's journal for being late and also for giving him permission to leave school early. The option to do so has been removed from the options which you as parents had on the App, as of today.

If your son is going to be absent, please continue to ring the school office before 9am, to avoid receiving a text. 

We appreciate your understanding for making the changes in practice and your continued cooperation. Thank you and have a nice evening.
U19 Soccer Team Draw 2-2 with Kildare Town in League Opener

️Portlaoise CBS vs Kildare Town ️
U19 Leinster Midlands A League

Our u19 soccer team had a home game today against Kildare Town. At the start of the game both teams were finding their feet but it was Kildare who went 1-0 from a free kick following a foul just outside the CBS box. 

CBS kept battling and it was James Devoy who scored to make it 1-1 from a scrap in the box after a CBS corner. Not the most beautiful of goals but they all count! A few minutes after half time Kildare scored yet again but this time from inside the CBS box. Coming to the end of the game CBS kept the fight alive with James Devoy coming to the rescue for the second time in the match. Scoring a fantastic header from a corner played in beautifully by Conor Buggie. After another few minutes of battling the ref blew the full time whistle with the game finishing 2-2. It was a fair result at the end of the day with CBS looking forward to their next league outing this Friday Vs Piper’s Hill Naas!

Senior Footballers March On!

Coláiste Íosagáin Vs St. Mary’s CBS Wednesday was to be a big day as two big footballing towns clashed in the Senior South Leinster football championship.
Portlaoise got off to a very strong start with goals from Cian Nolan and a handful of frees from Kieran O’Donnell. The scoring continued for the full first half leaving the Portlaoise men very confident at half time. 
The second half proved no different to the first as the CBS were relentless and proved too strong for Portarlington.
Standout performances from Cian Nolan and Kieran O’Donnell.
A comprehensive victory for Portlaoise in the end
The CBS now have a South Leinster B Semi-Final to look forward to️
Final score 6-22 to 2-4.
