Information for those students receiving their Junior Cert Results tomorrow...

Those doing TY work experience should come in at 10.30am, not before, as you have no timetabled classes.

Others, who are in school, will be called down to the GPA at that time.

All must wear full school uniform as we will be taking a class photograph and then everyone will leave to go home.

Other 5th years, who did not receive JC Results, will remain in school till 4pm. If they come to school, they will not be allowed to sign out early. As there will be very small 5th year classes for tomorrow, we suggest that these 5th years remain at home for the day.

We wish all our students who receive their results a good day and a safe day and ask that you all look out for each other. Thank you.

Our TY and 5th Year Debaters took on @scoilchriostri_portlaoise last week.
Motion - That this house believes Transition Year is beneficial!
We had some fantastic speakers and both schools were commended on the level of detail and arguments presented in their speeches. But there could only be one winner on the day! @debatingscr narrowly defeated St. Mary’s CBS. Best speaker went to Jack Murrell!
We are really enjoying both debating committees coming together and working cohesively. Special thanks to Mr. Coolahan from SCR for visiting us and adjudicating on the day!
The boys are already looking forward to their next debate!
Thanks to Ms. Hyland, Ms. Carroll and Ms. Griffin for organising.

Junior Certificate Results on Wednesday

The Junior Cert Results from the 3rd year class of 2021-2022 will be available this Wednesday at 10.30 am.

All 5th years who were 3rd years last year  should attend for school at 9am as usual and they will be called down at 10.30 to receive them.

All TY's would normally be doing their Work Experience Day, but Mr Cahillane has instructed them this morning to inform their employers before Wednesday that they will not be working that day and to tell them the reason. This responsibility is on the individual student, not the school.

All other 5th years who are in school will continue with their timetabled classes, as usual. If they are not attending school that day, their parents should inform the school, as per our Attendance Policy, that they are absent explained by 8.55 am. Absentee texts will be sent to those who do not ring the school. The App does not do absentee or lateness messages from parents any longer. You must ring the office.

We wish all our Junior Cert students of the 2021-22 class a good day and ask everyone to take care and stay safe. Thank you.
