Just in case the TY's didn't update anyone at home, they are alive and well and chatting by the campfire after their Gaisce walk earlier today. We missed them around the school today but we are looking forward to hearing all their stories when they return!

All student's Microsoft passwords were reset last week. Please be aware new passwords were sent to parents via text message. The password will contain a random combination of letters, symbols and numbers and will NOT contain the student's name. This must be entered exactly as is in the text including case sensitivity, numbers, symbols etc. Please ensure all students take note of this password on their mobile device.

TY - Carlingford Adventure Centre update

To TY students and parents,
So just some updates in relation to the Carlingford trip:
- The bus leaves CBS at 7am sharp from the front gates of the school on Monday 9th of May.
- We will return at roughly 7- 7.30pm Wednesday 11th of May
- I have attached a 'What to bring' sheet
- Your breakfast lunch and dinner is included each day but there is also a local shop nearby. (No breakfast Monday)
- Activities include Gaisce hike, Laser Tag, Kayaking, Zipline Aerial Course and evening activities.
- Students must wear the school PE top leaving and for arrival to Carlingford only.
- You do not need €5 for bus. This is covered.
- You do not need sleeping bags as mentioned, pillows and duvets are included in the price.

Abbeyleix Art, Craft and Design Exhibition Opening Reception

Abbeyleix Art, Craft and Design Graduate Exhibition are holding their opening reception tonight at the Dunamaise Arts Centre at 6.30pm. All are welcome and it is free to attend. The exhibition will be opened by artist and past pupil Patrick Critchley with many more of our past pupils represented. Well done all, we are very proud of you. Sure to be an excellent event.

TY Horticulture

TY students were learning about Transpiration and how water moves through a plant during TY Horticulture yesterday afternoon. They set up several different experiments to see the results of Transpiration as well as collected leaves and viewed the stomata (structures plants use for gas exchange) under a microscope. Great work guys!
