School Leaver Options for Young Adults with Disabilities Pathways to Inclusion in Education and Work with National Learning Network (Teacher, Parent & Student Webinar) 14.3.2022 National Learning Network (NLN) is Ireland’s leading provider of specialist training, education, and employment services, empowering people with disabilities, mental health conditions and autism to acquire the skills that they want and need to progress to further or higher education and employment. All courses have nationally recognised accreditation coupled with personalised supports and transversal skills training. Student supports are integral to the journey in NLN. These include learning support, psychological support, and advocacy support. Work experience with local host companies enhances inclusion and informed decision making for life after NLN. NLN have training centres in every county in Ireland. NLN courses are funded by Education and Training Boards or the Health Service Executive. 2nd Year Eric Science CBA Experiments

2nd Year Eric got to straight to work on their Science CBA experiments this morning. For this CBA they need to research, plan and design their own experiment, to collect and analyse their data as well as write it all up in a report. There was a good variety of experiments from investigating chemical reactions, a titration to neutralise an acid, investigating air pressure in a ball and how far it will travel and which solid fuel source gives off the most heat. #stemeducation #scienceexperiment #fromeachhisbest

1st years used CODAP, a data analysis software, this week to look at the planets in our solar system. The students plotted the data on graphs and used these to compare other planets to Earth in terms of size, distance from the sun, gravity, and even the number of moons!
